RS/ GIS Lab used Landsat TM to characterize vegetation for Southern Idaho and Western Wyoming, through a dual contract with USGS, BRD (Biological Resource Division) and USFS, Region 4.

The two main goals of the project were to provide USFS, Region 4 with a completed region-wide land characterization dataset and to provide Idaho GAP with an enhanced dataset.
