Equipment
In October 1997
the RS/ GIS Laboratory received a grant from NASA that nearly doubled
the capacity of the five connected facilities. It also purchased on-line
access to remote sensing data sets for academic and government agencies
in the state of Utah.
Laboratory equipment
now includes two SUN Microsystems Unix lab facilities. These labs house
45 SUN Microsystems workstations, 8 PCs with access to over 500 GB of
distributed hard disk space. The main lab has scanning and digitizing
capabilities for data input, and three wide-format plotters for data
output.
The Laboratory
administers an ESRI, ARC/ INFO and an ERDAS IMAGINE Educational Kit
(HEAK) for Utah State University See the Licenses page for more
